Our Community Needs Your Help

Hi 😃 my name is Aleesa, I’m 8 years old and I live in Oxton Village in Birkenhead.

I am cutting off my hair, from way below my waist (past my bum), to my shoulders, to raise money for the Green Community Shop.

I am donating my hair to The Little Princess Trust, to make wigs for little children who have no hair because they are ill. I have lots of hair so they can share mine 🙂
I used to be upset when I had to have my hair trimmed, but now I’m really excited about it, because I know it’s going to help lots of people.

I really want to raise money for the Green Shop because it’s the best place in the world!
It is a space for everyone to use and EVERYONE is welcome.
They have a grown up room, toys, games, craft and dress up clothes to play with in the kids room and free tea and coffee for grown ups. There is always someone there for a hug when you need one.

They support people with health problems, like my Mum. They have helped her so much and she always says how important it has been for her.
There are groups there for mum’s and tots and meditation and all sorts of things to help everyone be included in the community.
I’ve have been going there since I was 2 and I’ve got so many friends there. I’m going to Bavaria for two weeks camping with my Green Shop Family.

Mummy was worrying that their only source of income is from selling donations in the shop, because the shop isn’t making enough money.
She’s been thinking of ways to raise money because they are struggling.

I really wanted to help!
And I can. I don’t think I could do a sponsored silence, because I’m a chatter box. But my hair will always grow back.
Everyone loves and supports each other in the Green Shop and it has to stay open for everybody to use.

Please, please, please may you sponsor me, anything that you can.
Even 10p. It would mean the world to me and help hundreds of people in my community.
