Duke Street: a history in photographs.
Over the past 15 years things have started to look up for Duke Street In Liverpool’s RopeWalks district. It all started when Iliad built a new residential and commercial complex called East Village, whilst also rebuilding a stretch of Georgian buildings opposite. This gave impetus for property developers and business owners alike to take a look at this forgotten corner of the city, which was at one time thriving with life.
Now the street has found it’s voice again, and it’s good to see. As if waking up from a long hibernation, Duke Street is contributing to the city along with it’s other once neglected neighbours.

boss how even though the casartelli was beyond repair and unsalvageable, they rebuilt it as an exact replica of the original. If only they did that for the Futurist!
